The Omaha Public Power District awarded Midwest Steel the Structural Steel contract to erect the 15,000 Tons of structural steel purchased in advance for this Power Plant in Nebraska City, Nebraska. The steel was shipped to the site and stored, and the Midwest Team, while awaiting the revised foundation construction, sorted and sequenced the steel to organize the erection phase. Our contract also included the stairs, grating and hand rails for the facility.

There was heavy iron throughout the building and unusual sequencing was required - - the Boiler girders, alone, weighed 20 tons apiece. The winter weather in Nebraska was severe, but the Power Plant was finished on schedule.
